Do you struggle with a sense of overwhelm when you walk into certain disorganized areas of your home? 

No judgement here, girlfriend! I actually have some good news for you! You may not be a “Hoarder’s” all-star, but that disarray or disorganized space could be messing with your inner calm.  For some, our “stuff” can start to feel like a responsibility, subconsciously dragging our energy down. 

Our brains love to complete patterns and organize things. Some of us are more in tune with it than others, but we know that we are happier when our “stuff” is in good order. It’s a reflection of peace. And we all want peace, right? 

So for today’s self-care tip, I want to challenge you to tackle just one shelf. It can be a shelf in your hall closet, the kitchen, an office space… but just pick ONE shelf that needs organizing. 

Evaluate everything in that space. Do you really need that notebook from the workshop you attended 2 years ago and never opened again? What about the box of business cards from the company you no longer work for? Extra cords and techie things that you don’t remember what they go to… can they go in a pretty box instead? 

You will be so pleasantly surprised at how clearing out just a little bit of clutter will make a big difference in your inner peace. Doing a little bit at a time, you can get a lot accomplished.
